What the spec table does not tell you
The single-arm fork mount is comfortable with the 6-inch tube and at its practical limit with the 8-inch. The 8SE settles noticeably more slowly after a focus touch, and is more affected by wind. If you observe somewhere exposed, that difference matters more than the aperture gain.
